I was looking through this simpsons episode opening on evolution and the comments that people write are epic. Haha. My thoughts are <-- *arrowed* beside some comments.
axl409v: Evolution would have to discredit the biblical existence of a god because according to the bible, god created man, when in fact man was not created but in fact evolved over time from related life forms.
jamespdavis: I think that's the way it should be viewed; but one should go a step further, and recognise that creation vs. evolution has nothing to do with the existence of God- that is to say, a man may believe two things- In God and in Creation- and disproving, or discrediting, one of these has no actual part in discrediting the other. That really sounds like a question for whichever invisible man in the sky you're referring to. <-- *Rofl-ed at this one*

Its even my pm now.* goodflo911: Nothing can be proven as impossible. It's to be measured in terms as (less/more) likely or unlikely. I believe in the evolution theory. I am an atheist, but I definitely don't rule out a god and/or gods etc. I think nobody here knows, and anyone who claims to know is an idiot in my eyes. (hence most religious nutsacks and 50% of atheists are idiots in my eyes).
starsandbarsforever: Oh for the love of god. this is just a cartoon and still people bicker about religion, all because of its lean towards evoloution. people...relax it is just a cartoon for comedy. no wonder why the human race is doomed, because of all this disagreement. in that case i guess that "god and/or evoloution" is rather irrelevant then. now there is one for you all to suck up.
Conclusion? Like starsandbarsforever put it. People really oughta lighten up.
