OH OKAY guess I'll be the first person to blog about taman... *Maybe just summarize* Oh well...haha xD
Day 1
Everyone gathered at 6 am and we went on to M'sia at had 3 stops along the way to the tekam plantation resort. The 10 hr long trip in the bus was alright coz we get to play cards, sing and bond at the same time. =] Xitong had lotsa tidbits too bad I was having a slight fever that day coz of throat inflammation so couldnt eat any. = / Anyways, all the classes met at the first and second stop where had our lunch and did a few shopping. Classes C, D, E and ours H checked in to the resort first. The bunk is a big 16 man room with lots of insects along the corridors and toilet.
Day 2
Our class, C and D went to taman negara to hike up a 800m steep hill. First time doing hiking for me and I reckon I wasn't that bad xD Only twice have I slipped and fell flat on my arse, not bad really =] After that we went on the canopy walk which sucked for me coz I got my hand stung twice by bees that were resting on the ropes. Ouch man...
Later on it was rapid shooting and that for me was what I thought was the best experience throughout the whole time there. We got ferried by people up and down rapids with having a water war to literally use paddles to drown close-by boats...haha. But er...I was at the front so I only took hits and looked at the scenary.
After that, we stayed in 4 men tents in a real life cave which was kinda cool other than the fact the floor was kinda in a mess. At night we formed groups namely, Gregory, Christopher, Juin Li, Jia Qi, Yuh Yan, Japhia, Yi Hui and I and went on a night walk and had to find our way back using only 1 candle...
*And yes, we did made it back to the campsite.*
Day 3
Initially didn't wanna do abseiling or cave exploring today but in the end still went for both. They weren't really tough, but very exciting! Especially when we had to made way our way through the air conditioned wind-like dark caves and trek through the jungle of mud and huge puddles of water. Lots of us tried to avoid contact with water coz we didn't wanna get wet and many were scared of leeches but at the end the was this thigh deep water we had to cross... and...it was inevitable...
Day 4
Last and final day of the whole trip, we went flying-foxing and rafting today... since I wasn't really interested in the flying fox I didn't go, and as a punishment... Xitong and gang made me carry their pouches. *Like, where's the link in that...haha...*. Anyways glad we did something right today by managing to build a raft that actually managed to FLOAT!! Totally different from the sinking experience we had at advent camp. x)
Greg, Juin Li, Wai Ping and I went down the water and rowed the boat. And we didn't get wet at the top at all! Greg and I sorta had a insurance plan with Mr Chew that if leeches clinged on to us at the river he'ld have to pay us 150 ringgit for each. Tsk tsk... xD
Day 5
We met-up at the parade ground to gather and had a few briefing before we left for the train station that will take us back to Singapore. Something happened to Xi Tong that day, her head which had been hit by a nalgene bottle a few days before starting causing her a bad headache and she started crying...and the atmosphere among the guys and girls in our class was a bit TENSE. Jia Qi they all started crying... Couldn't do anything buy offered tissues I guess. = / But when we reached the train station Xi Tong was back to her normal self and the atmosphere was well again. =]
We waited for a seriously crappy 2 hrs for the train to come. I'm not joking...thats how FLEXIBLE the timing really is. =.=" And another 12 hours on the friking train to SG. Everyone on board was like waking up and falling asleep over and over again just to kill time coz we were disallowed to play cards. When we reached SG custom I managed to go through the custom with the dvds! KICKASS!! xD xD Was worrying about being caught and delaying my class from going back... = / Anyways, on my way home I had to get myself one nice cup of bubble-tea. x)
Really enjoyed myself with the gang of 3H. Their a seriously nice bunch of people! Sadly so lil went...but it was overall still a great experience! =]
